It’s been three months since the Vampire and “Diamond” met in that alleyway. Everything was going great, the vampire had fed on the Listener a few times. But when hunters abduct the Listener, the vampire goes on a “Roaring Rampage of Rescue.” The hunters are torn apart and the vampire makes off with the Listener.

The vampire learns of the Listener’s abduction and chases after them. Thinking to themselves what the Listener has become to them. All the while rage taking over as a group of fools puts them in danger. Later, the vampire worries over the unconscious Listener, who has been drugged by the Hunters. The Listener slowly comes to and they overhear part of the vampire’s panic. When the listener finally has the strength to open their eyes, the vampire cradles them in their arms. Vowing to be a better guardian and never let the events of the previous night repeat.
