India's antitrust body - the Competition Commission of India - has reached an initial assessment that the $ 8.5 billion merger of Reliance and Walt Disney media assets harms competition. The main concern revolves around the combined entity's control over cricket broadcasting rights.


According to the AMFI data for July 2024, a higher number of investors have started to invest in mutual fund schemes. Retail investors hold over 60% of mutual fund assets and 86% in equity alone.
