*MAJOR RESPONSE* 50 Las Vegas Metro Police Department SWAT Units Responding Code 3 To A Barricade

On 9/18/23 Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were called to a residence near the intersection of West Cactus Avenue, And South Rainbow Boulevard. Officers arrived on scene establishing dialog with a male who was on the roof of the residence suicidal armed with a firearm. Officers attempted to deescalate the situation for hours but the subject wouldn’t comply. Later on they requested Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) to respond to the scene. After several more hours the subject surrendered to officers and was taken into custody without further incident.
