HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH RED SQUIRRELS- BRITISH WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY- NEW CAMERA BAG

After a tip off from a mate I headed North in search of one of the nations favourite mammals, the beautiful Red Squirrel. The population of these amazing little creatures have been hit hard since the introduction of the North American Grey Squirrel in the 1800's. The Greys carry SQPVD (Squirrel Pox Virus Disease) but are not susceptible to it. In certain areas the Reds have made a fantastic comeback and with the help of dedicated protection groups their numbers are growing. I'd never photographed in this location before and with only one day to grab some images it was a race against time to make the most of some lovely Winter sunshine.
