One Life to Live 6/16/1989

At WVLE, Max and Megan make up, and she promises to come clean about what’s been going on the last few weeks. She admits she went out as Ruby in Atlantic City and that she befriended Marco there. At The Banner, Clint chastises Viki for giving Roger and Melinda permission to investigate on Llantano Mountain. Viki and Clint are surprised to be interrupted by Marco. Marco congratulates Viki on finding her daughter, and says he’s there as her manager to get The Banner to publish a piece he wrote to help Megan in her Daisy Awards campaign. What starts out as a happy reunion quickly turns sour when Viki questions Marco’s intentions towards her daughter. Bo reacts to Sarah telling him about the rape. Bo promises to always protect Sarah, and Sarah is relieved that he knows the truth now. Melinda is frustrated that her digging hasn’t turned up anything. Cord finds her and demands to know what she’s doing there. She says she’s certain Asa is up to no good. Cord sends her off and threatens to call the police, but he worries she got way too close to discovering Austin. Mari Lynn wants Wade to come with her to the Daisy Awards, but Wade says he is leaving for California before then and thinks she should skip the awards.

Sarah wants to go to the police, but Bo is afraid Herb will come after Cord, Asa, or even Sarah. He says they should all just move on with their lives. Cord returns to the cabin and tells them what happened with Melinda, and Bo suggests they need to move the body as soon as possible. Wade says he’s sick of arguing with Mari Lynn, and suggests there’s been nothing but trouble between them since she took the job on Fraternity Row. She says the trouble is that Wade has been jealous of his success. Wade says he’s going to L.A. with or without her. Marco convinces Megan to give him a try as her manager. He later confides to Royal that he’s not worried about Max getting in his way. Sarah tells Cord she turned down Bo’s proposal because she couldn’t start off their engagement with a lie, but now that she’s told him the whole story, she worries he may not ask her again. Bo goes to the grave site and prepares to fill it in, but Austin gets the jump on him and knocks him out with a rock to the head. Austin ties Bo’s hands and pushes him into the hole Melinda dug and begins to bury his cousin alive.
