Indian 🏳️‍🌈 Surveyor Discovered Mt. Everest ⛰️ 172 Years Ago

Описание к видео Indian 🏳️‍🌈 Surveyor Discovered Mt. Everest ⛰️ 172 Years Ago

In 1852 an Indian surveyor carried out "Triangulation" of Peak XV from six different stations and calculated the height of the peak XV to be 29,002 feet. The instrument was half a ton Theodolite, an angle measuring device.
As per todays various survey with modern equipment and GPS technology we find the height of Peak XV to be 29,035 feet. That's a difference of 33 feet. The error in measurement was 0.114% of the actual height.
As per scientific study and continuous observation, the Peak XV or Mount Everest is rising about 2 inches per year. Since 1852, in 172 years the peak has risen 354 inches or 29.5 feet. making it 29,031.5 feet in todays height. And that is only 3.5 feet of error. And the actual error in measurement is 0.012% of the actual height.
This is the level of accuracy an Indian surveyor could achieve with half a ton Theodolite over 170 years back. Our modern technology can not even come closer.
