Thank you for joining us at the second BLUE LENZ DENIM VIDEO AWARDS


Although both denim mills and denim brands produce incredible videos, the TENCEL Denim team felt that, despite the engaging content and captivating stories, this effort was being somewhat wasted. Often it was hard to find the videos once the season was over, even though the message was still so relevant and in some cases ahead of it’s time.

I grew up in the era of MTV..some of you may also remember the launch of music videos… remember the first time you saw the debut of MJ thriller? How could forget the way music and video came to life which eventually led to the MTV Music video awards launched in 1984

Why can’t the denim industry have the same? For several years I thought we need bring attention to these videos. With limitations to meet in person it was even more crucial to have video storytelling. The Denim industry brings innovations, collections, and the people to life. Indigo + videos to have the Blue Lenz Denim Video Awards.

We want to highlight and champion the best in our industry and begin to credit people and teams behind each of the denim videos.

It’s with this background that the TENCEL Denim team decided to create a platform for all this great denim content, and in January 2020 the BLUE LENZ You Tube channel was launched. One place to get all the latest denim stories, educational videos, sustainability news, fabric innovations and trends.

With more than 300 videos on BLUE LENZ we enlisted a group of esteemed judges from around the world to deliberate over the best in 6 categories which we will reveal the winners today. Our judges include
