Описание к видео Absolute Classic Cars 1972 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 - 15900 mile from new! SOLD

Originally sold by the Volkswagen dealer Orr Tookey, Srtatford upon Avon to its first owner on the 15th August 1972 this simply staggering Volkswagen Beetle 1300 shows a genuine 15985 miles from new and comes with the following specification:

1300 engine with 44bhp.
4 speed manual gearbox.
Sumatra Green exterior (code: L61B).
Alabaster leatherette interior (code: 52).
Blaupunkt radio.
Mudflps.

Walking around the car, gazing at the interior, listening to the engine, the driving experience this car just speaks originality, and the amazing history file suuporting this! The Sumatra Green bodywork has a wonderful lustre, the panel gaps remain entirely original, the sound of the door shutting is completely Germanic, engineered to perfection and precise and showing the odd touched-in stone chip helps to confirm that we feel the car has never received any paintwork in its life. The exterior chrome-work is in first class condition, window / door rubbers are all 'like new', the glass is free from any hazing or scratches and when we say 'you could eat your dinner out of the wheel arches', we think you'll agree, she really is that good! Everything is just right, the Octane sticker inside the fuel filler, the original Volkswagen rear mud flaps, even down to the supplying dealer sticker in the rear window (reproduced by the fastidious previous keeper), this Beetle would happily grace any collection, could be presented with real pride at any VW meet /  'Bug Jam' or classic concours show and is without doubt the opitamy of that classic saying, 'they're only original once!'

Opening the door to the interior and you can't help but be 'wowed' by how fantastic it is. The Alabaster seats / door cards have zero wear and all the knobs, switches, sun-visors etc look like they've never been touched. Completely charming, light and airy this little 'Bug' is what some would regard as 'factory fresh', complemented by also having the correct period Blaupunkt radio, the attention to detail is remarkable.

Mechanically the Beetle is a marvel too. Without so much a hint of throttle, the car starts instantly from cold and settles to an offbeat flat-4 tick-over. The steering is light and direct, the gearbox is super crisp, brakes work perfectly and the only dilemma we find ourselves in is whether we should or shouldn't jump in the car and take her on a 100 mile trip or a weekend away. We'd challenge any 'Bug' fan to find a Volkswagen Beetle that drives with as much poise and composure as this sub 16k mile, 49 year old classic does!

Owned by a previous keeper for some 22 years we're advised that until 1996 the car was still fitted with its original crossply tires. For the last 3 years the car has been cherished and improved further by a customer/friend of ours, his attention to detail is second to none! The history file comes with a detailed documentary of the cars life, a copy of the original registration data entry from Warkshire County Council, communications with previous owners, mileage logs, with some 30 previous MOTs dating back to 1976 validating the current mileage, 18 previous Tax Discs, her original owners manual, correct tool kit, period Blaupunkt radio, overmats, invoices for works carried and 2 keys this amazing classic has averaged less than 350mile/yr over the last 49 years!

Without doubt one of the most original, low mileage examples in exsistance! This '72 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 is a dream for any collector, in the eyes of some she's almost too good to drive, and needless to say we'd prefer to deliver her to her new home in our fully enclosed trailer. Now ready to be cherished by her new owner and 'wow' all who see her, we doubt you'll find finer!
