So, a French braid can seem tricky at first, but with a bit of practice, it becomes much easier. Here are some simple steps to help you master this classic hairstyle:
Prep Your Hair: Start by brushing your hair to remove any tangles. This will make the braiding process smoother.
Section Your Hair: Take a section of hair from the top center of your head. This section should be about 3-4 inches wide. Divide this section into three equal strands.
Start Braiding: Begin a traditional braid by crossing the right strand over the middle strand, then the left strand over the new middle strand.
Add Hair to the Braid: As you continue braiding, add a small section of hair from the right side to the right strand before crossing it over the middle. Do the same on the left side. This is what makes it a French braid.
Continue Braiding: Repeat the process of adding hair from the sides and crossing the strands over the middle. Continue this pattern until you reach the nape of your neck.
