The use of an Aibot X6 or similar VTOL UAVs, is a way to safely, quietly and efficiently inspect communication infrastructure. With the ability to hover in 3 dimensional position while controlling the camera, one can inspect communication towers such as this from every angle. Designed with integrated propeller sheilds, the operator can see the proximity of the craft to the tower allowing for safer flights. With a payload capacity of 2.5kg, a variety of sensors such as DSLR and Infra-red cameras can be used to inspect nearly every aspect of the tower.

Deployment takes less than five minutes and a 75 meter tall tower such as this can be inspected in less than 10 minutes. Conventional methods such as climbers (who must be certified and insured) or manned helicopters are risky and a failure in either may result in severe injury or even death.
