Wu Zi Bei is one of my favorite songs in the theme of Chinese historical fiction series/movies, and this one is from a very nice series "The Empress of China" in 2014 (武媚娘传奇 - Võ Tắc Thiên Truyền Kỳ). It's about the first and only empress of Chiana - Wu Zetien. She contributed a lot to the prosperity of Tang Dynastry, however, due to so many biases and prejudice in feudalism, she had been judged heavily by old history, only be understood more and more until recently. The tombstone of Wu Zetien, which she chose to leave it blank, is still a mystery. She might have done it because of pride, or guilt, or both. Whichever, "let others write the history". Reading about her moves me a lot, it's also funny and coincidental that I have the same surname (Vo - 武) with her, and that was how I first reading/watching about her.
So I made a piano cover for this song, I hope you enjoy!
(sorry for some mistakes)

Lyrics - English Translation:
(The original translation is from Dan Nguyen, however I edited them for the purpose of making it sounds a little more like a poem)
"A lifetime floating in a boat
Reached the shore, yet still alone
Asking heaven, who see my heart?
Looking at the thounsand years of history
Hate, grief, sorrows, too much to count
Imperial realm is the path of no return.
Bloodshed in Xuanwu, horse hooves thunder
Tragedy in front of me, can't bear to watch
In endless boudoir, who is gently sighing?
Hate, grief and sorrows, all I've been through
In the end, who am I protecting?
Wordless. I raise an empty stele with tears
Who had once softly called the name "Mei Yiang"?
It's me, icy cold for eternity
Leaving all mundane behind
The golden age of Tang Dynasty, I forgo
With no regrets.
Wordless. I raise an empty stele with tears
No matter right or wrong, I have no regrets
Let others write the history, I do not ask to be understood
If there is such thing as reicarnation
Next life, I wish to live on a mountain
As an ordinary, commoner's life, with you.
An ordinary heartbreak, as I had loved.
