Founders Piano Trio was commissioned by the Berkeley Preparatory School for the Consecration of their new chapel. The work was premiered by Katerina Chatzinikolau, Roger Morelló Ros, and Tobias Haunhorst in Tampa, Florida (2023). The Trio is written in honor of the School’s founders, Edgar T. McCleary, Headmaster, and Drs. Ralph Aye and Collin Baker. Edgar McCleary had a profound impact on the composer’s interest and study of classical music.
