Canyon Neuron | Discovering Wales on a 3-day MTB adventure

Tales from the trails: join self-titled "adventure cyclist" Vedangi Kulkarni and MTB enduro racer Maya Atkinson on their ultimate 3-day trail adventure exploring Wales by bike.

Vedangi Kulkarni was born in India and currently lives in the UK. She’s an adventure traveler, endurance athlete, public speaker, writer, expedition manager and business owner. In 2018, she rode 29,000km around the world in 160 days, mostly solo and unsupported, at the age of 19/20, becoming the youngest woman to circumnavigate the globe on a bike.

Looking for a great adventure buddy, she found Maya Atkinson. Living in South Wales, she’s used to the terrain and her experience as a racer means she definitely knows how to shred. Vedangi not only wanted to ride with her but also learn a thing or two about enduro racing. At the same time, she was hoping she could drop some hints about riding long distances as Maya trains for her upcoming enduro season. No matter their different mountain biking backgrounds, they both craved an adventure where they could test both themselves and their machines.

The raw adventure facts: 3 days of riding, 131km – 2300m of elevation, 3030m of downhill.

Day 1: from Oswestry to Ruthin
Day 2: from Ruthin to Penmachno
Day 3: from Penmachno to Dolgenau
