May 2024 - Amazing how a year makes all the differences in the world - Dad2 has sure earned his title! Awaiting fledging in June 2024!

April 2024 - we officially name D3- Dad2! All 3 eggs hatch successfully and are thriving! Dad2 has stepped up his game and has really taken on the role of father to his first clutch! Fishing, feeding - watching after all the eaglets has been a pleasure to watch! We now wait for a fledge!

March 31, 3:40pm - C14 is seen!! First Feeding!

2/24 - While Mom and D3 have bonded - mating continues and if she is as regular as normal - she should be laying her first egg of 2024 soon!

Great news, the new live CAM is in and this weekend I start the long process of changing out the live cam, the computer that runs it and the backup systems I will now have in place.. Looks like D3 is really bonding well with Mom, everything looks GREAT for nesting season. Nest improvements should be starting shortly. Now that the Osprey are gone, Mom looks like her final molting seems to be finished so now she can relax in her domain. High Hopes for positive things forward! 4-30-2023 As of 4-30-23 it would appear the eggs in our nest are no longer viable. Sad day, yes - but 13 eaglets in 5 years is nothing to be sad about. Not having chicks this year will give Mom and D3 the proper time and setting to bond. Hopefully get in sync with each other for next season...

12-24-22 --- In a horrible twist of fate, we lost our beloved Dad Eagle to avian flu. We are experiencing a number of potential suitors visit - but the latest Male - D5 (2/14/23) is starting to show signs he has what it takes - lets hope Mom finds a strong healthy Mate to continue her legacy... And we continue...

(D2 showed up - D3 pushed D2 out - D4 showed up, D4 pushed D3 out - D5 showed up and pushed D4 out - D5 is currently available to Mom. We get many other eagles - Juvi's and sub adults are common in Centerport - until a Newcomer Male can take the role Dad once played and protect the territory.

Barring a miracle - eggs are less likely to play a role this year, rather - Mom's mate for life will need to prove himself or move over.

The 2022 nesting season has begun! Mating (see video in this channel) is happening and the appearance of Mom and Dad together most always is great news!
This makes this pair having successfully raising 10 eaglets since 2018!

The nest is strong, very strong, (Built in a very fast growing hardwood, built from scratch & started from a single stick into a luxury suite / baby nursery overlooking Centerport harbor.
