This 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500KR is one of 1,053 fastbacks produced for the model year and was delivered new to Jack Gibbons City Ford in Watchung, New Jersey. It was purchased by the seller in 2002 and a multi-year restoration was begun in 2014. Work included repainting the car in Acapulco Blue, rebuilding the 428ci Cobra Jet V8, and installing an Art Carr C6 three-speed automatic transmission.

Equipment includes the GT Equipment, Interior Décor, and Visibility groups, black vinyl upholstery, functional hood scoops, a rear spoiler, four-wheel disc brakes, 16″ wheels, quad exhaust outlets, a Sport Deck rear seat, air conditioning, and a retro-style stereo.
