But Joe Rogan actually wasn’t there for the first few events.

We actually wouldn’t be introduced to Joe Rogan until UFC 12 in 1997, but not as a commentator, he was the post-fight interviewer.

Joe Rogan was so new to the sport, he mispronounced Vitor Belfort’s name multiple times on the broadcast, calling him Victor Gracie.

Joe wasn’t making any money from the gig, so he would take a short break from the UFC broadcast team only to return in 2002, at UFC 37.5 as a commentator.

Needless to say, he was excited to be back, and let’s be honest, what would the UFC be like if we never got to experience
