Hailing from Devon and Cornwall, England - Monolith fuse relentless aggression and a cold atmosphere to create a uniquely impassioned form of modern Metal tied to a conceptual narrative spanning their discography.

Monolith don't write songs, they write albums and 'The Black Cradle' - Monoliths 3rd and final release of 2024 promises to be an album quite unlike anything that has come before it.

'The Black Cradle' sees the band from Devon and Cornwall, England continue their discography spanning narrative. Following on from the raw aggression of 'Hornets Nest' (March 24) and the lumbering beast 'Lord of the Insect Order' (August 24), 'The Black Cradle' sees Monolith opt for a more organic approach to production, featuring the widest range of influences and densest musical arrangements on a release thus far.

This album tells the story of a man's journey into the deep as he searches for the purest form of isolation on the ocean floor, descending in a rudimentary submarine called The Black Cradle.

Each of the album's five songs are dedicated to a layer of the ocean with a unique musical direction - the deeper into the ocean you go, the lower the tuning and more visceral the music becomes. All whilst exploring various genres along the way, wrapped up in a black metal aesthetic. This is Monolith at their most ambitious and diverse; featuring a full narrative structure originally written by the band as a novel, with repeating musical motifs and recurring characters through out, 'The Black Cradle' is the closest that Monolith have come to achieving a film score like quality in LP format.

Hotly tipped as 'The UK's best kept secret' (Metal Epidemic), Monolith invites you to experience the hour long soundtrack of the depths which will be released on 29th November 2024.
