If I'm reading this correctly it looks
like there are 12 cards from
the 1995-96 premier edition and 6 cards
from the 1996-97 expansion year.

The 1995 base set had 330 cards.
The 1996 expansion set had 110 cards.

Some of the possible players are

Ray Bourque,
Peter Forsberg,
Mike Modano,
Sergei Fedorov,
Wayne Gretzky,
Eric Lindros,
Mario Lemieux.
