SM-Trax was a German music project of two Hamburg-based music producers and DJs Stefan Grünwald and Mirko von Schlieffen. Founded in 1997, the name of the music project is derived from the first letter of the two members' first names.

In 1997, the duo released the single Climb on Top together with American singer Sweet Pussy Pauline (Candice Jordan). The song reached number 63 on the German singles charts and stayed on the charts for six weeks.

The producer duo has produced many club and chart hits, including "Climb On Top," "Show Me Something Special," ".... Is Calling" and the huge worldwide hit "Got The Groove"....

In 1999, he released the single Got the Groove , which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in the United States .
In Germany, the song reached number 58 on the official singles charts.

Another single ...Is Calling reached 57th "SM Trax is Calling," which has a very distinctive rhythm. The song's lyrics describe the nature of house music, and the chorus includes the repeated line "Wake up, SM Trax in the club." The song SM Trax is Calling was featured on the 2005 techno album Radikal Techno 6.

In 2000, SM-Trax was again on the German charts with the single At the Club .

In the same year von Schlieffen left the music project and together with Christopher von Deylen founded another incredibly famous project called SCHILLER...
