This is from a film that was never finished. The idea was to produce a nostalgic look at Wigan in March 1973 as it was just about to start going through the huge changes to turn it into the town it is today. There are tantalising glimpses of areas of terraced houses that are now gone and the start of building the 'new' shopping centre. Finally some views of Ashurst's Beacon.
