OTC vs Prescription | A Hands-On Comparison | Allison Audiology & Hearing Aid Center

There has been a lot of hype about OTC devices hitting the mainstream market, and we wanted to put them to the test to see how they stood up against prescription hearing aids.

We had a patient volunteer, and we documented his experience to see how he felt about the sound, feel, and fit.

For this trial, we used Bose hearing devices, though shortly after they made the announcement that they would no longer be producing hearing aids themselves, we felt that this video would still apply as many of the competitive products launched are comparable to the Bose aids.

We then took him to lunch to try different hearing devices in that environment.
