Incredible Fall Fishing Trip to the Boundary Waters | Insula Lake Part 1

This is the first video in a five part series where we head out on an incredible fall fishing trip to the boundary waters to explore Insula Lake. Part 1 is our first day of travel and making camp and day two is non-stop fishing action.

We arrive at camp after a long day of paddling, get settled and set up quickly for day 2 - a full day of fish catching action. Fishing is slow in the morning, but in the afternoon I stumble upon stacked fish at the edge of a shallow rock wall peninsula adjacent the main basin. We catch walleye, smallmouth bass and Northern Pike from sunup to sundown. This day is punctuated by a a couple of really nice smallmouth bass and a whole bunch of medium sized walleye.

Even though we are exhausted after our first full day of fishing, we are looking forward to day three, which would end up being one of the best days of fishing I have had in my entire life. Just when we didn't think the fishing could get any better...
