Today we’ve got one of the UK's funkiest bass players with us... none other than Stefan Redtenbacher!

Austrian native Stefan Redtenbacher wears many hats: bassist, guitarist, composer, bandleader, arranger, educator, producer, music-software developer, and intrepid captain of one of the funkiest bands in the UK... Redtenbacher's Funkestra.

Stefan has recorded and performed with such legends as Steve Winwood, Jack Bruce, Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse, Lulu, Mica Paris, Paul Carrack, Kiki Dee, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Limahl, Alexandra Burke, Russell Watson, Adam Ant, Ollie Murs, and Danyl Johnson, to name a few ;)

His passion for life-long learning and music education has also made him an inspiring and in-demand educator. He’s taught at the Royal Northern College of Music, London Centre of Contemporary Music, Detroit Institute of Music Education, Academy of Contemporary Music, Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, and... he's one of our regular visiting faculty members in the Academy here at Scott's Bass Lessons.
