How To Plant Tomatoes In A Greenhouse

This video shows you how to plant your young tomatoes out into a bed in the greenhouse. The varieties we have chosen to grow are the old favourite, Moneymaker and Sweet Million which is a cherry tomato which produces masses of fruits; ideal for children, and grown-ups! We are also demonstrating tomato rings which give you extra depth of planting; as an alternative to the rings you can plant the tomatoes at an angle of 45 degrees and cover the whole of the stem up the bottom leaves. Both these methods encourage the plant to put out more roots from the stem which increases its uptake of water and nutrients which in turn produce more fruit.
