Phi Phi Island & Maya Bay 2022

We made it to Phi Phi! Watch till the end to see if Lemon survives the massive swarms of flesh eating fish!! Just kidding- they were friendly fish of the non-flesh eating variety.

We took the ferry from Phuket Town to Phi Phi Island which took about 2 hours and cost about $21 per person including transfer directly from our hotel to the Rassada Pier. This place is literally paradise with white sand beaches and clear blue waters. We met up with some Instagram friends, Shannan and Mark, of @shazandmarkadventures and had the famous "bucket drinks" which is just a giant cocktail in a plastic bucket. When in Rome right?! Cocktails weren't really in our budget during this trip but we were able to indulge thanks to some very kind friends who bought them for us via Venmo (see link below if you would like to support the channel). We had so much fun with our new friends, so Evan was hurting a little bit the next morning. We had already booked a boat trip with Susan Wan of Explorer Tour and Travel (highly recommend- we will drop her instagram below). We spent 9 hours cruising around Phi Phi Island and it only cost about $50 a person- it was WELL WORTH IT!!! The boat stopped at Maya Bay which is where parts of the movie "The Beach" were filmed. It has been closed for over 3 years due to over-tourism and just recently reopened with some new guidelines and a new point of entry.
