In this ASMR Plumbing video, I’m replacing some taps and also lead pipes for copper. The customer in this Victorian house wanted these taps to be changed, but underneath the inlet feeds are in lead pipework and steel.

It’s not best to have lead pipes as it could even cause lead poisoning which can be very harmful so any act to try and remove these pipework should be taken . Start by isolating the water and cutting the old lead pipes out using some plastic cutters which are very sharp leads very soft easy to cut easy to bend. With the lead pipes cut out start by disconnecting the old connector in a steel pipework which does need to be heated up and unspun.

A new connector is put inside the steel using Loctite 55 and paste. And then a new copper pipe brought up to an isolator allows control on the sink if the taps need further maintenance. The new tops are installed and it’s just a case of finishing the pipework from the taps back down to the isolator tester feeds. Make sure we got no leaks and jobs are good.
