This series of videos was filmed at our masterclass sessions held in 2023. We covered 4 topics over 4 weeks and each topic is split into a number of sections.
Here’s pace bowling part one - warm ups
Pace bowling is hard on the body. Dynamic warm ups help prepare bowlers for the workload required for training or matches.

WARM UPS
Resistance bands - Using a pair of bands, and a pair of friends, practise the bowling motion under constant tension. Focus on smooth movements in both directions.
Side to side slams - Using a football or similar slam the ball and catch it from one side to another. The explosive movement and twisting warm up the whole body.
Interval sprints - Get the bowlers to sprint their run ups focusing on acceleration and reaching top speed through the crease. No bowling just get those legs pumping.
Slam balls - These heavy weight sand filled medicine balls are great for overloading and getting muscles working in dynamic movements. As the weight increases more of the body is needed to throw the weight.

Find a routine that works for you but ensure you warm up properly before any session.
