BigBo is an amphibious all-terrain vehicle on ultra-low pressure tires, produced in Kostroma. The development of the all-terrain vehicle began in 2014, and BigBo was first presented to the public in the fall of 2018.
Structurally, BigBo is in many ways similar to the Sherp, but at the same time, it has a number of differences.
BigBo also has a mid-engine layout, but it uses a more powerful engine as a power unit. Initially, it was a 1.5-liter gasoline engine from Hyundai Accent with a capacity of 102 hp, since 2021 - a 128-horsepower diesel engine.
An automatic 6-speed gearbox is used.
The frame-boat can be made of steel with anti-corrosion coating or stainless steel 1.5 mm thick. The bottom is additionally protected by high-strength plastic PE-1000, 10 mm thick - plastic, not prickly, frost-resistant. There are no overhead parts in the BigBo body, each element is a supporting structure. The upper part of the body, the glazing frame, is made of aluminium.
Instead of levers, BigBo has a motorcycle steering wheel with electric power, which has height adjustment. Unlike other all-terrain vehicles of this type, BigBo has panoramic windows. The front door slides to the left with a special mechanism, and does not lean down. Initially, the front windows were made of polycarbonate, now triplex is used.
As standard, the all-terrain vehicle has 5 seats equipped with seat belts. At the request of the customer, their number can be increased to 9.
BigBo uses tires of its own design. Tire size - 1580x540x24 ".
The maximum pressure is 0.18 atmospheres, the minimum operating pressure is only 0.02. The pressure is adjusted from the interior of the all-terrain vehicle. Tires are inflated not with exhaust gases (as on machines of a similar class), but with a turbocharger, which is located next to engine.
The tire inflation time is approximately 15 seconds.
The BigBo electrical system is made without mass output to the vehicle body, which makes it possible to operate the amphibian for a long time in salty sea water.
