Come with me for a behind the scenes look at an estate sale on College Street in Columbus, Mississippi! This historic home is located right next to the Mississippi University for Women.

It was a three day sale and on the last day, everything was 50% off. Most of the furniture had sold, but I was able to pick up DOZENS of interiors magazines at a steal. I'll use these as inspiration in my interior design business.

I do buy items at estate sales to resell, but I also like to observe how people decorated their homes. This one had fantastic drapes, beautifully patterns of wallpaper, and gorgeous light fixtures throughout.

It was an interesting couple that lived here. The husband had been an army general and the wife had a fantastic decorating sense.
