Manali to Keylong | A Scenic Journey into The Himalayas

KEYLONG: Kyelang (also spelled Keylong) is a town and the administrative centre of the Lahaul and Spiti district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, 71 kilometres (44 mi) north of Manali via Atal Tunnel and 120 km (75 mi) from the Indo-Tibetan border. It is located along the Manali-Leh Highway, about 7 km (4+1⁄2 mi) northeast of intersection of the Chandra, Bhaga, and Chenab valleys, on the banks of Bhaga River.
The view of the majestic snow capped mountains, the swirling Bhaga River and the small grasslands simply add charm to the area.
Kyelang faces the famous Kardang Monastery, the largest and most important monastery in Lahaul, of the Drukpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism, which is on a slope across the river from Keylong.

SISSU: Sissu (also known as Khwaling) is a small town in the Lahaul valley of Himachal Pradesh in India. It is around 40 km from Manali and located on the right bank of Chandra river. It is located at 32°29′0″N 77°7′0″E. It is 3,120 m (10,235 ft) above sea level. It is 14 km (9 miles) from Koksar to the south-east and 11 km. (7 miles) west to Gondhla.
As Sissu is located a few kilometres from the north portal of the Rohtang Tunnel, this area will stay connected for the whole year. Hence, it will become a popular tourist destination in upcoming years. The area is beautiful and has facilities for tourist to stay here. Hotels of Sissu are Hotel Triveni, Hotel Plm dhara, a few Home stays and Goldrop Luxury Camps which gives the chilly feel of the area in summers.


MANALI : Manali at 6725ft is a mid-altitude Himalayan resort town in India’s northern state Himachal Pradesh. Manali is famous for its adventure sports, waterfalls, snow, biking and hiking activities and is a very famous honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and has many beautiful tracks like Hamta pass track etc. One can explore treks of Parvati Valley from here. It's also a jumping-off point for paragliding, rafting. Manali is starting/end point of Leh-Ladakh circuit and is house of many ancient temples.
