Here comes the forest puppy excited to see us!

Meet DORA, the wild raccoon from the forest behind us.
We met her as a tiny fuzzball snacking on our birdseed, decided to be kind to her…and now, here we are today.

Dora does tricks too! I point to the railing, and bam! She’s up there, no questions asked. And for her acrobatics she gets a humble peanut! It’s like we’re running a raccoon circus here!

When you pet her back fur it’s coarse, like running your hand over a scouring pad. And underneath the fur she’s solid, like she’s been hittin’ the gym. It’s like petting a mini BODYBUILDER.
And then there’s the magic of these chin rubs. The fur under there is so kitten-soft.
She has adorable teddy bear ears, and she’ll let you pet them, but only because we pay the peanut fee.
And DORA’s gives us these crazy fun secret handshake to show that we made it into the trash panda circle of trust.

People persecute these animals, saying they’re messy, they can carry diseases, and they can be feisty. But that sounds like half the people I know…

We don't need to be at odds with wildlife -
