A Dunedin mongrel mob member, who was found with more than $25,000 worth of drugs concealed in his underwear, has had his appeal for a reduced sentence dismissed by the Dunedin High Court.
Boycee Linton Junior Karetu, 37 was sentenced to a prison term of two years and four months in the District Court at Dunedin. The charges against him included possession of methamphetamine for supply, possession of LSD for supply, obstructing police, and possession of ammunition. Karetu who is a patched member of the Mongrel Mob, was subsequently incarcerated following his sentencing in the District Court.
After pleading guilty to all the charges he belived that his sentence was not fair and hence appealed in the high court.
however, His challenge to the sentence in the High Court at Dunedin has been rejected and the district court judgment stands.
