This project develops an “Intelligent Driving Safety Assistance System” that leverages the eye-tracking capabilities of Sol Glasses combined with a forward-facing camera to actively monitor driver attention and assess potential road risks. The system integrates image recognition, environmental sensing, distraction detection, and real-time warnings to support safer driving.

Specifically, the system can detect when a driver is distracted by their phone and issue immediate voice or sound alerts to help refocus their attention on the road. In addition, it recognizes surrounding pedestrians and vehicles, sending timely warnings if the driver fails to notice them, thus preventing potential accidents. Beyond simple alerts, the system also recommends safe stopping points when signs of fatigue or inattention are detected, providing a proactive layer of protection.

By combining multimodal feedback with predictive guidance, the system not only responds to dangerous situations but also prevents them, offering a significant upgrade in intelligent driving safety.

This project was created by students for the Ganzin x TAICHI 2025 Student Design Competition. In this competition, students were challenged to creatively use Sol Glasses and the Sol SDK to explore how eye-tracking can be applied in different scenarios—whether to improve daily life or simply to create fun and engaging experiences.
