Описание к видео Cuppy's Music Curios S1 E1: Doug Yule's Velvet Underground Part One 1970- 1971

Doug Yule took over as leader of The Velvet Underground when Lou Reed retired from the music business during the band's last two dates of the residency at Max's Kansas City on August 26, 1970. The band continued with Doug Yule switching over as lead singer and guitarist while adding bassist Walter Powers along with Sterling Morrison and Maureen Tucker. They toured during the winter of 1970 and summer of 1971 promoting the album "Loaded" in whatever venue their manager Steve Sesnick could book them in. Morrison however would leave after playing several shows in Texas on August 22, 1971, packing an empty suitcase. Listen to Cuppy talk about Doug Yule's Velvet Underground, Part One!
