A cycle tour of Blackburn Weaver's Wheel with Michael Sutton and Bernard Kellett for Xplor Trails

A cycle tour of Blackburn Weaver's Wheel starting on a spur from Pleckgate . Along Ramsgreave Drive cycleway, through Beardwood estate onto Preston New Road. Across the road onto Meins Road, (avoiding traffic lights) onto Billinge and around to Pleasington Priory. Skirting the cemetery and through Witton playing fields, leaving the park through the woods and over the railway. Cherry Tree and onto the Leeds Liverpool Canal for a couple of miles until we reached the aquaduct which we cross underneath and into Ewood. A lovely section around the back of Ewood Park and onto Stopes Brow, under the railway and an overgrown section up to Blackamoor. Through the industrial estate and down through the wood through Knuzden and across Accrington Road. Back onto the canal for maybe a mile then out onto Whiteberk Drive back to Brownhill where we started. 20Km in total around 90 minutes.
