Each photo Dr. Rahul Baxi clicks has a story to tell. Listen to his interesting take on life from behind the lens. Photography for him is not only about shutterbugs but it is his way to appreciate life. If there is one thing common between a doctor, a photographer and an Instagrammer, it will be their eye for details.

Nominated as one of ‘Singapore’s Instagrammers of the Year 2018’ by instaSG, a community group of Singapore Instagrammers, Dr Rahul Baxi (Consultant Diabetologist, Bombay Hospital, Mumbai), shares an interesting perspective of life through his camera lens, which is somewhat similar to how he sees patients in his clinic.

His eye for detail and genuine interest in humanity are likely trained as a result of his profession. What started out as random capturing of photos with his phone few years ago has now turned into a full-fledged hobby for Dr Baxi, who documents all his visuals on his Instagram account.

“Street photography has always been intriguing and such a joy for me. Whenever I see something interesting, I whip out my phone and quickly snap. You cannot recreate a candid moment that is shot on the street.” This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
