This is my demo of the Marquess-4 and Marquess-5 basses by Harley Benton.

Harley Benton says these basses are thought out to be able to play anything: from rock, to metal, to fusion and so on.
While I believe this to be true, once I picked them up they just screamed “Black Album” to me: The God That Failed, in particular (who know why).

So I made three videos:
one where I play the four-string
one where I play the five-string
one where I alternate between the two

In these videos, besides demonstrating the two basses, I believe (!!!) I captured the “real” difference between a four-string and a five-string bass. See if you agree with me.

My playing on these videos is neither literal nor error-free, but I think you’ll get a good idea of what these instruments sound like...
