The Externsteine in Teutoburg Forest, Germany [Teutoburger Wald]

Welcome to Teutoburg Forest, Germany. There's a weird sandstone rock formation here with CAVES ...and you can climb to the top.

Yes, the Externsteine is impressive.. and so is the forest! It's called "Teutoburger Wald" in German. Did you ever read about the battle of Teutoburg Wald (9 AD)?
Some historians say it happened right here!

There are many ponds and lakes inside this forest
...PLUS many hiking and cycling trails
....and many AMAZING picnic spots

It's the perfect place to relax and listen to the sounds of nature
This is just a very small part of Teutoburg forest.. it's MASSIVE
Spending just one day here wasn't enough. We can't wait to go back to Teutoburg Forest.
