MAWA BURFI

Ingredients :

Full Cream Milk 1 ltr.
(Buffalo milk)
Sugar 70 gm
Cornflour 1/2 TSP
Cardamom powder 1 TSP
Ghee 1 TSP

Method :

In a thick bottom pan, take full Cream Milk and boil it stiring continuously. When boil comes, add sugar and stir. At the same time take out 3 tsp milk and add 1/2 tsp cornflour in it. Dissolve and add it in boiling milk. By doing this the Mawa will not become grainy in texture and will become smooth.

Stir continuously otherwise milk will burn and stick to the bottom of the pan.

Stir the milk till it becomes thick in consistency and forms in dough. Stir till it leaves the sides of the pan and all moisture evaporates.

Check the dough by taking in between the fingers , and see that it is not sticky and it forms in a ball.

When Mawa mixture will be ready, pour it in a greased tin. Spread it in a tin and decorate with chopped pista & rose petals. Set it for 6 to 8 hours at room temperature or overnight.
