Time to talk about the object that has sparked a flurry of rumors about “aliens on board” and raised fears of a potential collision with Earth and an extraterrestrial invasion. In this video we’ll explain what 3I/ATLAS really is, and by the end your only task will be to get your equipment ready so you can watch this interstellar traveler pass the Sun with your own eyes.

This episode covers: how the ATLAS survey detected the object, why it is both fast and large, when and with what gear you can observe it from the United States, and what Hubble and JWST are expected to find out.
