Black Uhuru—Heathen, Willow Tree

This early line-up of Black Uhuru: Duckie Simpson, Don Carlos and Garth Dennis, reunited in the late 80s and updated their classics, "Heathen" and "Willow Tree" (aka. Peace and Love) in this concert shot at Bay Street, Sag Harbor, N,Y on March 17, 1990.

Although an overly-bright spotlight nearly fried one of our cameras (grrrr...there's always something...), this was a great performance by another stellar incarnation of the ever-evolving Uhuru.

Give thanks to Preston Powell of Bay Street and the Step Lively crew; Stu Sporn, Anthony DaCosta and oh, gosh...can't remember who was on the third camera. Was it me?
