This week Dr Axel, co-founder of the myrecovery app, was joined by shoulder surgeon Mr. Mike Walton to explore commonly asked questions and topics around having a shoulder replacement and, especially, having a same day or day-case shoulder replacement.

Mr. Mike Walton has a specialist shoulder practice at the Centre of Excellence for Orthopaedic Surgery at Wrightington Hospital. He has developed a particular interest in complex shoulder instability and shoulder replacement surgery. He regularly treats professional athletes and works closely with their rehabilitation teams. Mike is actively involved in research and has published numerous scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented work both nationally and internationally. He is a scientific reviewer for several international journals and also the National Institute for Health Research.
