National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB) details :-

National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB) is a countrywide ATM terminal sharing network for account and card based transaction of member bank.

A client of a NPSB member bank may accomplish monetary transaction from any ATM terminal of #NPSB network across the country. Member banks of NPSB network agreed upon about the interbank fund transfer through NPSB network. NPSB started its operation on 27 December 2012. Transaction process under NPSB network is governed by Bangladesh Bank. NPSB network may be used at ATM withdrawal, POS transaction and inter banking fund transfer transaction. A nominal charge shall be imposed for using NPSB network to the account of client. This charge shall be applicable to the account holder of that bank which is not the owner of the respective ATM terminal.

For example, you are an account holder of mercantile bank which is a member bank of NPSB network. But, there is no any ATM terminal nearby you. The only one ATM terminal nearby to you is ATM terminal of mutual trust bank which is also a member bank of NPSB network. So, you may withdraw money from the ATM terminal of mutual trust bank. You will also be able to balance inquiry and getting mini statement through NPSB network.
