Part of The Shear Zone Channel. This video goes through the method of map appraisal and structure contour construction on an idealised planar geological surface (e.g. boundary contact between two rock units) - using the approach to forecast the position of this boundary in a borehole and to complete a geological map (by projecting the outcrop trace of the boundary into un-mapped areas). There is a clean copy of the exercise that can be downloaded from The Shear Zone website (linked from the tab on channel banner).
