Shantivan Nagpur || Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum || Chicholi || watch at 720p

The city is all set to host its first museum dedicated to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s belongings and artefacts, some 15km from here. Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) plans to develop the museum on 11.50 acre land with the help of Rs40.76 crore sanctioned by the state government.
In fact, the museum will be a renovation of an existing small museum. Ambedkar’s close associate late Wamanrao Godbole had developed the small museum in 11.50 acre land at village Chicholi on Katol Road. The place is popular as Shantivan.
The most attractive feature of the museum are the national leader’s clothes, books and other equipment on display. After Godbole’s death in 2006, Bharatiya Baudh Parishad (BBP) has been looking after the museum, which will now be taken over by the civic agency.
