I rigged Moonlight in the dark so as to be on the water at first light, and beat the rush of boats onto the river. I launched her into a strong tidal flow with the wind coming from the opposite direction to the current. While out there sailing I had a bit of a rave about some of the dinghy cruising basics.

When rigging I was thinking about the conditions the cyclone offshore was likely to deliver. Turns out it was gentle, 10 knots with an occasional gust to 15. But I was glad to have reefed the sail. It takes a lot of concentration to sail a cruising dinghy single-handed and film at the same time. Rig Launch Sail
