Successful delivery of turnkey e-coat line by MEGA-TEC

F.X. MEILLER in Slane now uses a complete brand new cataphoretic line from MEGA-TEC. The entire project was prepared turnkey according to the strict requirements of F.X. MEILLER. The original wet painting of the primer was no longer suitable in terms of the new ecological and economic criteria and had to be replaced by a new technology.

The new KTL line from MEGA-TEC consists of both automatic and manual blasting. Using a complex handling system with distributors, transfer trolleys and gantry manipulators, it combines both mechanical and chemical pre-treatment with a KTL coating section and a polymerisation oven with cooling zone. The actual polymerization of the painted parts takes place in a special loading oven, which allows variable adjustment of the polymerization time according to the individual needs of the various parts from F.X.'s wide portfolio of tipper trucks. As part of the project to supply and implement the KTL paint shop, a reverse osmosis unit for the production of demineralised water, a waste water neutralisation station, a post-cooling unit for the disposal of VOCs and odours as well as a complete supply air system for the hall were also supplied.
