Sound of an air raid siren. Views of Berlin as people clear the streets in mock air raid practice. CU sign in German - "Zum offentlichen 2 minuten Sammel-Schutzraum." German troops run for cover. Almost totally deserted streets. Trams sit empty. Deserted streets. Views of bombers in the sky. CU of military observers from other nations watching air raid practice. Smoke bombs go off. More shots of planes and observers. Voiceover suggests fears of use of poison gas. Views of various buildings in Berlin. The smoke canisters make it appear like a real bombing raid. First aid men carry stretchers. Fire brigade at work. Damage (presumably mocked up for the event). Decontamination units at work in rubber suits and gas masks to clear the poison gas.

CU air raid sirens. Empty streets of Budapest. Smoke canisters used to mock up fire and poison gas. Flares set off to indicate incendiary bombs. Fire brigades drive out of fire station. Mocked up scenes of devastation following bombing. Rescue squads wearing gas masks make their way on fire engines. Rescue and first aid squads at work on fires and wounded. Decontamination squads work as if they had been bombed with mustard gas.



Naples, Italy. (Possibly a dupe of 35/29 - 1935)



Italian air raid precautions are tested. Troops prepare anti-aircraft guns. Men in gas masks go work in mocked up burning buildings. Anti aircraft guns fire. People lowered from buildings. People pretending to be wounded are given first aid and loaded into ambulances. More people are rescued.
