Video showing the playing fields camping site at Rufforth York, Also included is video clips and photos of the city of York around the Shambles area. Photos and video clips of gliders taking off and landing at York Gliding Club Rufforth are in there too. Some video clips of Rufforth car boot sale where I bought a Morris Minor van in there as well. Rufforth camping site was only eleven pounds per night on my stay with free showers water and toilet disposal. There is a kids play park, tennis courts, football piches and a cricket pitch in the site. The camping site is right beside the York Gliding Center, it's only a 2 min walk to the air strip and you can walk along the left side of the airstrip to gain access to where they tow the gliders up into the sky. Further out the road from the boot sale is the Battle of Marston Moor monument, there are photos and video clips of the monument and the area where the battle occurred on the video There is a bus service from out on the road at the camping site that will take you to York city or in the other direction to Wetherby town, we found it hard to find a parking space on our visit to York so will be taking the bus in future.
