Mercedes R129 Infrared Key Fob Remote Battery Replacement, Synchronize, Reprogram. SL 1990 to 1994

This video is for all 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994 R129s (including the 500SL and 300SL), and may be helpful to some extent to other R129s, W140s and W124s chassis. In 1995 the R129 key fob changed and its battery change is different than what is shown in this video.

The video includes the key fob reprogram and synchronization process, if needed.

These batteries can last up to 10 years (or in my case 30 years!), luckily they are fairly cheap and very easy to replace with video instruction. The batteries can be found online (Amazon) and at some big box stores (Walmart).
